RIVERS UNITED DENIES RAFIU’S TRANSFER TO NK MARIBOR

Nigeria Professional Football League champions, Rivers United have denied ISHAQ RAFIU’S transfer to Slovenian club, NK Maribor.
You would recall that NK Maribor announced the winger’s arrival on Tuesday but Rivers United in a statement earlier today described the report as false and schemes by mischief makers to mislead the unsuspecting members of the public.
The Port Harcourt club claimed that RAFIU is still their player and any purported transfer without the club’s knowledge will be a breach of contract.
Rivers United added that ISHAQ RAFIU is still a bonafide player of the club as his contract with the team is still valid.
