GOVERNOR MAKINDE EXPRESS COMMITMENT TO IMPROVING WELFARE OF RETIREES, SENIOR CTIZENS

Governor SEYI MAKINDE has stated the commitment of his administration towards the treatment of retirees and senior citizens with dignity.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor, Reverend IDOWU OGEDENGBE, who stood in for the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Honourable SEGUN OGUNWUYI made this disclosure at the 2nd phase of the official flag-off ceremony for the payment of gratuity to retired Local Government staff and primary school teachers.
He disclosed that among all the states in the federation, Governor MAKINDE has made the highest gratuity payment towards offsetting the outstanding amounts being owed by successive administrations.
Speaking further, he said Oyo state government has plans to provide capacity building resources that will expose retirees to various prospects that suit their individual passions under the State Human Capital Development programme.
