COURT ACQUITS EX-GOV JANG OF FRAUD CHARGES

A Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos has discharged and acquitted a former Governor of the State, JONAH JANG, over the 6.3-billion-naira corruption charges leveled against him.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC had dragged the two-term governor to a Plateau State High Court over fraud charges.
The court also discharged and acquitted a former cashier in the office of the Secretary to the Plateau state government, YUSUF PAM, who was accused alongside the former governor.
The duo has been standing trial since May 4, 2018.
The court presided over by Justice CHRISTY DABUP said that the court did not find JANG and PAM guilty of any of the charges.
