AMOTEKUN MUST BE PERMITTED TO BEAR ARMS TO COMBAT MARAUDERS- GOV AKEREDOLU

Ondo State Governor, OLUWAROTIMI AKEREDOLU has said the State Security Network, also known as Amotekun Corps, must be permitted to bear sophisticated weapons to combat criminal elements.

The governor made this known while speaking at the passing-out parade of Courses 3 and 4 of the Corps at the Gani Fawehinmi Freedom Arcade, Igbatoro Road, Akure.

AKEREDOLU emphasized that the country, which is threatened by conflict between entrepreneurs and daring non-state players, must be imposed with the firm authority of the state.

The governor said the state security outfit supported by the law, whether in Western Nigeria, Katsina, Borno, Benue, or any other Northern State, must have access to the same cutting-edge weapons.
