PRESIDENT BUHARI LAUNCHES NIGERIA END MALARIA COUNCIL

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has inaugurated Nigeria End Malaria Council (NEMC).

The Council is expected to drive the Federal Government’s commitment to end malaria in the country.

According to a statement by the President’s media aide FEMI ADESINA, the President made this known while speaking to a 16-member council headed by the President of the Dangote Group, ALIKO DANGOTE who accepted to be an ambassador for malaria.

The President maintained that the quest to eliminate malaria remains a priority for his administration while projecting that the successful implementation of the Council’s agenda and savings from the estimated economic burden of the disease would save Nigeria about 687-billion naira in 2022 and two-trillion-naira by 2030.
