PRESIDENT BUHARI CONGRATULATES LIZ TRUSS ON APPOINTMENT AS NEW BRITISH PRIME MINISTER

President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has congratulated LIZ TRUSS on her assumption of office as the new British Prime Minister.

This was disclosed in a statement by the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity FEMI ADESINA.

President BUHARI, while rejoicing with TRUSS said that her antecedents in government, politics, and diplomacy will further shape and strengthen relations with Nigeria and other countries.

You would recall that that TRUSS was confirmed as Britain’s new Conservative leader on Monday, taking over from BORIS JOHNSON.

TRUSS however was officially appointed on Tuesday by Queen ELIZABETH.
