The Federal Executive Council has approved about 43.4 billion naira to construct roads in the north destroyed as a result of insurgency.
The approval came following presentations by the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development at the Federal Executive Council meeting presided by President MUHAMMADU BUHARI.
Minister SADIYA UMAR presented four memos to the council on behalf of the North East Development Commission.
The roads in question cut across construction and reconstruction for five states of the North East region, including Borno, Yobe, Adamawa, Gombe and Bauchi.
