IGP BANS USE OF SPY NUMBER PLATES NATIONWIDE

The Inspector-General of Police, USMAN BABA, has ordered a total ban on all use of Police SPY vehicle number plates by vehicle owners across the states of the federation without exceptions.
The Force Public Relations Officer, MUYIWA ADEJOBI conveyed the order in a statement on Wednesday at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
The IGP said the order became necessary to forestall the continuous disregard for traffic rules and regulations and other extant laws guiding road use by individuals hiding under the privileges of SPY police number plates.
BABA noted that the order supersedes every other authorization, noting that all authorizations have been revoked indefinitely.
BABA also directed policemen and officers of other security agencies attached to VIPs to ensure prompt compliance or face arrest.
