GOVERNOR MAKINDE CHARGES POLICE ON INTELLIGENCE-BASED OPERATIONS

Oyo State Governor, SEYI MAKINDE has charged the State Police command to be more proactive in discharging their duties by finding strategies to curb crimes before they happen.

Governor MAKINDE, in an interactive session with the Oyo state police command at the Presidential Lodge, government house, Agodí, charged the police and other sister agencies to rely more on intelligence gathering than stop and search.

The governor however reiterated his commitment to rebuild befitting police station at Ojoo Area Command police post which were burnt to ashes during the EndSars protest, once the building plan is ready.

Oyo State commissioner of police, CP ADEBOWALE WILLIAMS, earlier in his speech called for interface between the police and the public in other to achieve and maintain total peaceful state.

At the event, Oyo state governor distributed operational vehicles to all the area commands of police in the state for efficient and effective operational activities.
