Written by on May 23, 2020

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT HAS DISCOVERED THAT 50 PERCENT OF NIGERIANS WHO DIED FROM COVID-19 DIED IN THEIR HOMES AND 50 PERCENT ALSO DID NOT SHOW ANY SYMPTOMS OF THE DISEASE.

MINISTER OF HEALTH, DR OSAGIE EHANIRE MADE THIS KNOWN IN A STATEMENT SIGNED ON FRIDAY BY THE MINISTRY’S DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION, MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS, EUNICE AKRO.

EHANIRE STATED THAT FINDINGS FROM THE ANALYSIS OF THE DEATHS UNDERSCORES EARLIER EMPHASIS ON THE NEED FOR THOSE WHO TEST POSITIVE TO REPORT FOR TREATMENT.

HOWEVER, HE CAUTIONED NIGERIANS TO STRICTLY OBSERVE THE COVID-19 HEALTH REGULATIONS DURING EID-EL-FITRI CELEBRATION.
