The Ekiti State governor-elect Mr. Biodun Oyebanji and his deputy, Mrs Monisade Afuye, have been presented with certificates of return by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) following the victory recorded in Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
The National Commissioner of INEC in Ekiti state, Sam Olumekun, while presenting the certificate in Ado, the state capital, expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the election and the role played by technology.
Mr. Biodun Oyebanji in his remarks commended INEC and security agencies for a good job as he attributes his electoral victory to the sterling performance of Governor Kayode Fayemi, promising to build on the legacies.
You would recall that Oyebanji was on Sunday declared the winner of the poll after beating his closest challengers from the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
