Written by on September 23, 2022

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, OLUKAYODE ARIWOOLA, has appealed to the general public to always assist victims of road traffic crashes.

The CJN, who was recently cleared for the substantive position by the Senate made this known in his address at the 11th edition of the Kwapda’as Road Safety Demand Annual Road Safety Conference in Abuja.

Data from the Federal Road Safety Corps and the National Bureau of Statistics says no fewer than 41,709 persons have lost their lives to road crashes between 2013 and 2020.

The CJN explained that victims stand a better chance to live if immediate attention was provided while he also called for the training of judicial officers pertaining to road safety cases.
