Akeredolu insists deputy resigns

Re-elected governor of Ondo state, Rotimi Akeredolu, has called on out-going state deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi, to resign

Akeredolu gave his remark in an interview with State House correspondents on Tuesday after he paid a visit to President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The governor-elect in a symbolic gesture presented his certificate of return to the President.

Akeredolu was accompanied to the Presidential villa by newly elected state deputy governor, Lucky Ayedatiwa,

Rotimi¬† Akeredolu, who was re-elected in Saturday’s gubernatorial election, polled 292,830 votes beating 2nd place Eyitayo Jegede of the People’s Democratic Party who scored 195,791 votes.
